We're celebrating our Ruby Anniversary - 40 years and counting

26th January 2017

We're cock-a-hoop about reaching a tremendous milestone in our company's history and by way of celebrating our 40th year and, as a give-away to our customers, we have had some milk chocolate bars wrapped in a very special Warren personalised sleeve. The chocolate bar wrappers have been printed on LumiArt 115 gsm, supplied by StoraEnso and printed on a five colour Komori 28, using low migration inks and a water-based coating. The wrappers were then trimmed and hand-wrapped and taped and very nice they look too!

Warren opened its doors for business back in 1976, when our Chairman Barry Pincott, at the age of 29, made the decision to set up his own business. Having met Anne Ferguson some years earlier, he asked Anne to join him in the new venture and the business partnership was formed.

As a business, we have thrived and prospered over the years, but not without the dramas, tribulations and upheavals that have been witnessed within the paper and board industry. But there have also been some less challenging occasions namely, the exciting additions of our paper division along with the acquisition of a converter facility in the West Midlands, as well as a logistics partnership and new liveried vehicles.

Commenting on our 40th anniversary, our Chairman, Barry Pincott said, “It’s great to be celebrating 40 years in business-our Ruby Anniversary, and it’s all thanks to our wonderful staff most of whom have been with us over 20 years. Here’s to the next 40 years!”

Over the coming weeks our external Sales Team will be distributing the little chocolate treats to customers and if you haven’t received yours in the next few weeks, please call on 0116 232 4102 or email sales@warrenboard.co.uk

Chris worked in the role of Maintenance Engineer at our West Bromwich Converting facility, a position he held for some 15 years. Chris' colleagues didn't want the day to pass by without marking the occasion in some way, and befitting a man with the surname of Fryer the decision was made to indulge in that hearty breakfast fare....the fried bacon butty.
